For The Love NY

Interview with the curator $tone Cold $teeze Au$tin I was able to sit down with $C$A and speak a little about his creation. I wanted to keep it brief because I know he’s protective of his ideas and he wants his art to be a beautiful surprise. Me and $C$A go way back and he’s someone whose fashion sense is beyond respectable. If you’re into fashion or anything related to street wear tune in because he’s got something special coming this SS17.

What is the name of your brand and what does it mean?

$C$A~ For the love New York, I came up with the idea through a reflection of my life and realizing that everything I do is for the love of it. And then I just thought like yo, there's no point in doing anything in life if it's not for the love of it. So I’m just spreading that message and lifestyle through the clothes. Any part of it just comes from NY being a huge influence on my life and my style. Plus I took a page out of James Jebbia's book & included the New York. Gotta represent always.

Do you intend to make an impact on fashion or are you doing it literally just for the love?

$C$A~ Well I'd say both. I boldly feel like my designs are lit both aesthetically and the concepts behind them. And that question is basically answered in the brand's slogan "love conquers all" ... when I came up with that I felt that for the love conquers every other brand. And at the end of the day, the love will be the driving force behind everything I do.

Is there a particular audience you are aiming for? What products can we expect?

$C$A~ Honestly, women. It's not a women's clothing line. But it's unisex street wear for women first. I plan on having female models in every shoot and incorporate their style more so than like how fat their ass is or whatever. Most street wear brands if not all are centered around men first, then girls pick and choose what to incorporate in their style. Well with something like “love” I figured hey this is low key a girl concept like love is some shit you'd see in women's stores. so sometimes it'll show in the color palettes or design choices eventually but fly women first then men but unisex nonetheless if that makes sense. $C$A~ May or June...so spring/summer 2017

This concludes Interview…. Special thanks to $tone Cold $teeze Au$tin for giving some insight on his brand and what he has to bring to the culture.

I’d like to take just add, this is a great example of chasing your dreams and doing whatever you feel passionate about. Doing things “For the Love” is exactly what everyone should do. Every aspect of your life, school, work, family, etc. DO WHAT YOU LOVE FOR WHO YOU LOVE!!!
