Rewarding a Fish For Swimming (the things women settle for)

Everything I say after this point is not directed at every single man there is but at the way society has turned its self upside down.
Chivalry is so dead that when a woman is faced with any in her day to day life she immediately forms a connection with the person who shows it to her. We begin to have this mindset that if someone is to show us the slightest bit of
attention that means they are into to us. WRONG. Slow your horses sally, he may be one of the few men left in this world whose mother or father has taught them that they are to treat everyone with a sense of respect.
A few simple gestures of respect shouldn’t be the only factors into giving someone your all. Some one courting you should be a given. Not something to be rewarded. We live in a generation that is content with doing the bare minimum. We don’t request more so are partners are satisfied in doing the average things to make us happy, when in reality we want more. We all settle for people doing things that they should be done off back. “Oh, he told his friends about me, I mean that must mean he really cares.” Sis no, they probably saw your name come across his phone screen.
I feel we read too much into small situations to turn them into something more. We love rewarding a fish for swimming. We fall more in love with words than we do with actions. We love someone for their expected potential and ignore their harsh reality. It is something that needs to be stopped. Women need to become unimpressed and demand more for their hearts to be won.
Now I’m not saying make unreachable demands, unless that is what you’re going for but maybe ask for things that you know are possible from the person you’re dealing with. Stop taking lame ass excuses. Stop sacrificing more than you need to. These are unhealthy behaviors. You shouldn’t be settling you’re young. Look for the things you want in a partner. Write them down and wait. Dust settles, people don’t. And that’s point blank period. I always tell myself, if I wouldn’t want a dude treating my friend like that why would I allow him to treat me like that?
Much Love,
Ocean Hendrix
